Do you regularly dust your hens? Once Hen Mites have set it, its too late so, we regularly use Red Mite Powder to keep the mite at bay.
We recommend you regularly worm your chickens with Flubenvet especially if they are enclosed in a fixed run.
Unfortunately, chickens can attract flies in the summer time, so we recommend you use Red Top Fly Trap to prevent any problems

Chickens celebrate Royal Wedding
Well it had to be done really didn’t it. We couldn’t leave the girls out could we? So we celebrated the Royal wedding by decorating their coop with bunting and giving them some extra treats for lunch. They seemed to enjoy it whether they understood why is doubtful however rest assured when the Queen celebrates her diamond jubilee in 2012 our hens will be joining the celebrations. Whether the Queen would appreciate that either well I’ll let you work that out! Photo’s to follow
